Team 3 TIGER (day 2)
Day 2,
We started off with a rainy morning, BUT our moods are not dampened by the rain. We were unale to have morning exercise outdoor, but fortunately Team Checkmate managed to organize a fun and exciting indoor physical training. The forfeit was the best part as everyone of the team went up to stage to dance.
2 lectures were next. Both were enriching as we learnt about Singaporeans' acceptance towards other ethnic groups as well as how helpers from Singapore helped victims of the tsunami that occurred during boxing day in 2004.
Before having lunch, we were delayed by a game called Key Punch. We worked together as 1 YoReCa team towards our common goal (LUNCH). We went through numerous difficulties during the game, such as: finding out that there were missing numbers among the 50 numbers of different languages, color, size, pattern, etc. written on the paper plates. we managed to overcome the language barrier and shared infomation with other teams. We even motivated ourselves by grabbing a tin of cookies before leaving the 'bomb site'.
We had a sumptious lunch, as usual, then set off for the field trip to Singapore Civil Defence Force. Another 2 talks were given by the officers from SCDF. The 1st talk was extremely humorous and easy to comprehend. Basically what we learnt from this trip were emergency procedures during situations such as tremors and chemical leakage(IPP). Although these procedures may be simple and basic, they can actually be of large help should the crisis emerge.
After dinner, we had our 2nd challenge of the day, Confidence Skip. Everyone were to run through the rope and there were 7 stages in which each stage, the difficulty increases. Finally, we completed this task although we were behind schedule by an hour. We learnt that in life, we have to make choices and sometimes we are in a dilemma facing 2 different choices. Just like in the game, we are given the choice to stop and move on to the next activity. however, we chose to perserve and show resilience by choosing to complete all 7 levels of the game.
Now here we are blogging about the various events that occurred in this fruitful day. Look forward to our next blog post. WE WILL BE BACK!~
