Day 3

Day Three of YoReCa '09 Camp(:
EARTHQUAKE!

Today we had the usual morning exercise but we did three times with the guidance of King Arther:( MUSCLE PAIN!! Then we had our breakfast! ENERGY! After that, we went to took up the 5 stations challenge. For our first station, it was the "Skip Together", everyone have to co-ordinate and jump together. It was difficult even though we strategies but everybody tried their best. From this station, we learnt to trust each other and don't blame the people who didn't manage to jump.

For station 2, we played the "Human Ladder". For this challenge, we had two people to hold the wooden poles and we formed a "floating ladder". From this station, our team was determined and we persevered. We also cheered for our group members and encouraged them. These gave us the drive to move on and reach our destination, though sometimes we failed, we still pressed on!

For station 3, we played the "Moon Ball". We had to hit as many times as we could in our own group. For our team, we had two people in the middle and the others formed a circle. Our strategy was that we hit the ball to the middle people and hit back to the people in the circle. Some of us got frustrated and lost our patience but on the whole we did our best and had a score of 37! GOOD JOB EARTHQUAKE!

For station 4, we challenged the "Hotscoth". At first, our members hopped to number 5 to7 which took a very long time and we came our with a strategy that everyone will hop to number 2, cause we weren't greedy! At the end, we had quite a surprising score.(secret)

Our last station was the "Acid River". For this challenge, we need to have co-operation with each other and think of the best solution. However, the most important thing we had learnt was to have fun!

After the amazing challenges, we travelled to the Home Team Academy. We had a introduction on what the HTA does by the officer there and we headed off to some stations to learn more details about the HTA. We got to learn about how suicide bombers work and also the threats Singapore might be facing. It was really shocking when we saw a photo of a head of a suicide bomber. We also got to know how and where they place the bombs examples like letter and even a box of chocolate.

We had lunch at the HTA and travelled down to the Immigration Checkpoint Authority(ICA) to learn about the threats and challenges at Tuas Checkpoint. We learnt about how the immigrants attempted to smuggle themselves through singapore. Also, we learned how Immigraiton Checkpoint Authority ( ICA) uses latest technology to detect potential threats to the country.

ANywayz, there is no time left and the auntie is pestering us to stop blogging. Water the flower and hope EarthQuake left an impression on you. (AFtermath) :(

I LOVE YOU ALL! (DEBS) :)

Love,
EARTHQUAKE.

p.s on the side note, the quiz is glitch on some parts and its really unfair to us. Consider improving on how the quiz works cuz we got scammed.
