On the second day of the camp, most people were a little exhausted. We felt drowsy in the morning but the morning exercise pumped us up. Breakfast followed and we then played a team game called Confidence Skip. We were given a task to finish all the levels in just 45 mins which we thought we could but just to clear level 1 we took 40 mins. Then we were given a chance to jump to the last level which the first row consist of 1 person followed by 2 then 4 then the rest would have 8 person per row. It was hilarious when all 8 person had to go through it together. This activity includes communication skills, concept of different people has different confidence level thus we need to accomodate one another. We also learnt that cheering people up is very useful but too much of it will backfired, leeting the person being stressed up. The next event is the Disater Aftermath: Experience -Sharing by Institute Of Mental Health. The speaker, Mr Alex Su shared with us his experience around the world. He even sang for us and his voice was great man. He also sold some tickets in public to give to charity. Next we headed down to Home Team Academy(HTA) , and we learnt about the use of HTA.The different units set up in HTA shared the same vision and mission. We even recieve a pin of the HTA emblem. HTA provided real life experience to train the new officers to get them be prepared when they graduate from there they knew what to do and not panic. We had lunch at HTA (The Mass) and were given free ice-creams.
Next we went to the Immigration Checkpoint Authority: Threats and Challenges at the Tuas Checkpoint. We understood further how the ICA works and even improved with the advancing techonology. The ICA plays an important role in Singapore's security, ensuring a safe and secure nation. We went to stations whereby the officers explained to us how they work and such. Dinner back at camp NACLI. We had the Communtiy Solving Programme Session. Videos were screened and there were questions asked and we had to answer and even prepare a skit which gives us a first-hand experience on presenting a skit which will be important on the last day of the camp. Lastly we had the quiz of the day and give the $10 Popular voucher again which our group did not win anything. Our team once again scored the maximum marks for the quiz but overall we were tied with group 3 in 3rd place. -.-. Nevertheless our team will not give up and continue to soar high which we promise to uphold in the first day of the camp.
