Most of us came into the camp dispirited. In the morning, the war chant and ice breakers made us know each other better. Through these, not only did we had fun, but it also taught us that teamwork is vital as well. I found the opening address meaningful but long-winded. The addressee told us to ask more questions. When we checked in to our rooms, we were surprised that our bunks were very cozy, spacious and it even have air-conditions. Then we had lunch which was very good, as it was buffet style. We went down to SCDF HQ and had some fascinating lectures with hands-on. (IPP(In Place-Protection) practical). We realized that through practical we learned more.We learned how to decontaminate ourselves or rather the procedures which is useful knowledge for us when we come in contact with in real life. We gained a lot of knowledge on evacuation procedures and different threats and such.
The Key Punch activity links us back to what we have learn in the morning and how did we apply it. It was quite meaningful and interesting which further bond the strangers into a bunch of good friends. We had a competition against all the groups which had to keep us working together as a team and gladly we got 2ND PRIZE.After dinner, we continued with the lectures on Ministry Of Home Affairs ( Threat of Terrorist Ideology). We even continued with the group discussion and Lionel and Jereld presented it.We had the quiz of the day and 5 given away $10 Popular Voucher. Everyone's mood was very high that Choy couldn't take it as she was very tired after 10pm. Everyone was trying to earn points for their teams. For teams wining, we were the first team as we got a total of 5 points. But it is just the first day so we had to maintain the team spirit and keep up with the good work.Good Night... Looking Forward to your special and eventful day tomorrow... Keep me posted on more of your insights...
