HI PEOPLE ! :D
this is group no.2 Operation Resilience
today ! in the morning , we had our morning exercise :D
Pushups , crunches , back riser , squattings and last but not least ,
some exercise thats sketches your calf , something like toe lift .
We did 3 sets , 1o in each set . Pretty nice workout , but everyone made it :D
After that , we break off to eat our breakfast [;
Aft breakfast , we attended a talk by Dr Alex Su , From Instutute of Mental Health ( IMH )
He shared about
-Psychological Reactions To Crisis and Trauma
-Learnt the different difinitions of a psychologist and a phychiatrist
-what mental wellness is all about : building up resilience
-Definition of a crisis : an event or situation as an intolerable difficulty that exceeds the person's resources and coping mechanisms.
- He quoted : " THE MOST POWERFUL PART OF COMMUNICATION IS LISTENING."
-Sang a song titled " IF " , pretty nice ;D

Aft the talk , we went to the Home Team Academy , aka HTA ;D
- Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprise ( SCORE ) : Helps ex-offenders to get back into society , i.e. Yellow-Ribbon.
-Key focus of the Home Team Academy : Counter-terroism training whereby real scenarios are given to develop real reflexes and competencies .
-Visited the various places around the Home Team Academy: Makeshift training areas whereby real scenarios are given i.e in a fast food restaurant , MRT cabins , etc . Walked around an exhibition which show cases the different reagents ( some examples to list : Nerve agents , Blood Agents , etc )

Went to the canteen and had a wonderful lunch [;

Aft that , we continued our outing to Immigration Checkpoint Authority , to learn about the treaats and challenges at the Tuas Checkpoint .
- ICA : Integrity , Commitment : Accountability .
- 6 blocks of clearance for departure purposes , 4 blocks for arrival purposes , and a block for decontamination purpose whereby staff whom have been in contact with any chemicals will go to this block to wash up and thereafter , an ambulance will send him/her to the hospital for a furthur medical check-up .
-In 2oo8 , more than 23 million travellers and approximately 12 million vehicles entered/left the checkpoint ( Ratio of arnd 2:1)
-However , the number of travellers is expected to increase in the coming few years for there will be a few important and major events that will be conducted in Singapore , i.e. Youth Olympic Games , Integrated Resort to name a few .
-There are 3 different types of clearance stages .
1. Pre-clearance : Visas
2.Primary-clearance : Documents checks and Blacklist screening movement is legitimate and lawful .
3. Secondary clearance : checks on baggage/vehicle .
-->to ensure that the movement of conveyances are legitimate and lawful .

*It takes about an average of 5mins to 'clear' a vehicle at the checkpoint !
